About the Single Sista's Dish

About this Site
The idea and desire to create this site came from a collection of pictures of dishes that I have prepared over the past six years. I took pictures of meals ranging from the first Thanksgiving meal I made by myself to my experience going raw for three weeks. I often shared these photos with family and friends and one of the first questions people would ask me is "how did you make it?" As I grew in my own cooking abilities, I started giving people tips and tricks to making their meals not only tasty, but healthy.

I was also driven by the increased need to help people with limited budgets learn how to prepare meals that were heart healthy and pocket friendly. Since I am in the field of public health, I am aware of all the diseases and complications that can be attributed to the food we are eating. Man cannot and definitely should not live by Ramen and drive-through food alone. In a world where we are all limited on time, I think it is important to remind people to make time to take care of themselves.
